President of the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh Bako Sahakian sent a congratulatory message to President Serzh Sargsyan on the occasion of Independence Day

“I cordially congratulate You and entire Armenian nation on the occasion of Independence Day.

Twenty-two years ago, our people made a historic decision which cardinally changed the process of its further development. Armenian independent statehood which seemed unattainable for centuries was restored at last; restored was the right of the Armenians to master their own destiny and to build their own state on their own land with their own hands. It was a fateful decision whose validity and inevitability was proved during all these years.

Today, the Republic of Armenia is moving forward steadfastly, implementing different programs aimed at the enhancement of security and protectability of the people, improvement of the socio-economic and living conditions of the citizens. I have no doubt that through the joint efforts and thanks to the indivisible Armenia-Artsakh-Spyurk triumvirate, the Armenian nation will register new achievements and will fulfill its national goals.

I once again congratulate You and all our compatriots on this state holiday and wish peace, excellent health and all the best for the benefit of Motherland Armenia’s development and prosperity,” reads the congratulatory message of the President of Nagorno Karabakh.
