On the occasion of the 21st anniversary of independence of the RA, President Serzh Sargsyan received a congratulatory message from the President of the RF Vladimir Putin

The message states:

“Distinguished Serzh Azatovich,

Accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of National Holiday – Independence Day.

In recent years, Armenia has registered considerable success in social and economic areas. Prestige of Your country in the region and on the international arena continues to increase. I note with satisfaction the friendly constructive nature of the Armenian-Russian relations which was fully reasserted during our last meeting in Moscow. I am confident that through our joint efforts, we will continue to strengthen strategic partnership of our two states, expand our efficient cooperation in the framework of the integration mechanisms of the CIS and CSTO. Undoubtedly, it is in the basic interest of the people of Armenia and Russia and is channeled towards the maintenance of stability and security in the region.
