President Serzh Sargsyan sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of Teacher’s Day.
The message states:
“Dear Teachers,
I congratulate you on the occasion of Teacher’s Day.
For ages, your profession in the Armenian life has been one of the most esteemed professions. It is no accident, that no matter where the whims of fortune would send the representatives of our nation, they first of all were founding schools and churches. It is also no accident, that even in the deadly Der-Zoyr there were teachers, who endangering their lives, on the sands of the desert were teaching Armenian children Mesporian letters.
School is the continuation of family, where children mature as citizens.
We should realize that existing problems of the teachers and schoolchildren are problems of each particular family and problems related to the common future of our nation. We are solving and will continue to solve these problems through our joint and persistent work.
Love for knowledge, education and schooling are among key warrants of our invincibility and eternal existence, while teachers are safeguards and frontrunners of that noble mission.
Dear Teachers,
I once again congratulate you on the occasion of Teacher’s Day and express gratitude for your relentless work. I wish you good health and success.”
