Congratulatory address by president Serzh Sargsyan on the occasion of Nagorno Karabakh Independence Day

Dear Compatriots:

I congratulate all of us on the occasion of Independence Day. The last 17 years proved that the choice made by the people of Nagorno Karabakh was the only right one. For us it was a historic choice, sacred and irreversible. Today is a holiday for all of us, as well as for those who accomplished heroic deeds for the freedom and dignity of their motherland: these deeds made them immortal.

Dear people of Artsakh:

You stood the test of both war and peace with great honor, and today you have dedicated yourselves to the building and defense of your free country. You have devoted yourselves to changing your state, social and economic activities, to changing your lives for better. I am confident that with the assistance of Armenia and all Armenians you will address all the current issues and will boldly face all the future challenges.

I once again congratulate all of us on this glorious day and wish you peaceful skies and steady progress.
