Olivier Dassault was a great friend of Armenia and the Armenian people. President Sarkissian expressed his condolences to the family of Olivier Dassault

I was deeply saddened to learn of the untimely tragic death of my friend Olivier Dassault, French politician and businessman, Member of the French Parliament, and President of the Strategic Development Company of the famous "Dassault Group."

Olivier Dassault was a citizen and politician devoted to his country and people. His life and work were aimed at the economic and political strengthening of his homeland. He was not only a great technology specialist, a skilled business organizer but also an artist for whom photography was not an ordinary hobby.

Olivier Dassault was a great friend of Armenia and the Armenian people. During our many meetings with him, we often talked about cooperation with Armenia and possible projects to be implemented. We had a discussion on that topic during his visit to Armenia. With the enthusiastic support of Olivier Dassault, representatives of Dassault Systèmes, a member of the Dassault Group, visited Armenia, and future cooperation was already being outlined.

Olivier Dassault’s passing away is a great loss not only for France but also for the international business and political circles.

I express my sincere condolences to the people of friendly France on the great loss of their worthy son.
