President Armen Sarkissian sent a letter of condolences on the demise of the RA People’s Artist Ervand Ghazanchian

I learned with great sorrow the news on the demise of a coryphaeus of the Armenian theatrical art, the RA People’s Artist Ervand Ghazanchian. He was unconditionally devoted to theater and the stage, and just as he couldn’t imagine himself out of theater, it is difficult to imagine theater without Ervand Ghazanchian. He was linked throughout his decades-long artistic life and working biography, and even his personal life to the theaters of Yerevan, Gyumri, and Kapan. Ghazanchian was a “master-class” as a director, producer, creative director and, certainly, as a person, who could offer much to learn from.

The Ervand Ghazanchian - Galya Novents couple was wonderful both as a family and an example of a total dedication to the art.
