President sent a letter of condolences on the demise of the great actress Vardui Varderessian

President Serzh Sargsyan sent today a letter of condolences to the families of Varderessians and Abajians on the demise of the celebrated actress of the Armenian theater and cinema, USSR People’s Artist, recipient of the Saint Mesrop Mashtots Order Vardui Varderessian.

“Vardui Varderessian was one of those masters of the Armenian theater who because of her decades-long devotion to the national culture, creation of vivid and impressive personages was deeply loved and cherished by the compatriots. Her heroines will always remain in the history of the Armenian theater and movie art and in the memories of thousands of art admirers.

I express my deepest condolences to the family of this great intellectual, to her friends and colleagues,” reads the letter of condolences of the President of Armenia.
