President sends a telegram of condolence on Gurgen Dalibaltayan demise

President Serzh Sargsyan today sent a telegram of condolence to the Dalibaltyan family on the demise of Colonel-General Gurgen Dalibaltayan.

“It was with deep sorrow that I learnt of the demise of prominent military figure Colonel-General Gurgen Dalibaltayan.

It is impossible to underestimate Gurgen Dalibaltayan’s investment in the building and establishment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia. His name is inextricably linked with the preparation and implementation of the most crucial military operations during the Artsakh liberation war.

Being the First Chief of the Armed Forces General Staff of the Republic of Armenia and for many years serving as the Chief Military Inspector of the RA President, the renowned commander invested all his knowledge and decades of experience in the victories of our national liberation war and the Armenian army.

I extend my deepest sympathy to you, your relatives and friends, as well as to Gurgen Dalibaltayan’s comrades-in-arms”, reads the RA President’s telegram of condolence.
