President sends letter of condolence on Vahan Hovhannisyan’s demise
President Serzh Sargsyan sent a letter of condolence on the occasion of the demise of Vahan Hovhannisyan – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Federal Republic of Germany. The letter of condolence directed towards Vahan Hovhannisyan’s family, relatives, friends and colleagues reads as follows: “It is with deep sorrow that I learned of the passing away of Vahan Hovhannisyan - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Federal Republic of Germany.
Vahan Hovhannisyan’s presence in Armenia’s political landscape was significant both during the Artsakh Liberation War and after that, in the National Assembly of Armenia.
It is hard to imagine that the image of the ideological warrior, cultured intellectual, state and partisan figure, brilliant orator and bright individual has ceased to be part of domestic and pan-Armenian political processes. Vahan Hovhannisyan’s death was a great loss not only to the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, but also to all of us.
I extend my deepest sympathy to the eminent figure’s relatives, friends and colleagues,” reads the RA President’s letter of condolence.
