President sent a letter of condolences on the demise of Ara Shiraz

President Serzh Sargsyan today sent a letter of condolences on the demise of Ara Shiraz. The letter sent to Ara Shiraz’s family particularly reads, “I learned the news of the demise of the prominent sculptor, the People’s Painter of the Republic of Armenia Ara Shiraz with great sorrow.”

His modern works, filled with national spirit at the same time, have found cordial acceptance in the section of the art-loving public. The sculptures and bas-reliefs created by the gifted sculptor beautify our capital city and have become the inseparable constituent parts of Yerevan’s portrayal for a long time.

I express my deepest condolences to Ara Shiraz’s family, relatives, colleagues and the ones who value his art.”
