President Serzh Sargsyan sent a letter of condolences on demise of the RA People’s Artist Hakop Hakopian

Today, President Serzh Sargsyan sent a letter of condolences to the Hakopian family on demise of the RA People’s Artist Hakop Hakopian.

“Passing away of Hakop Hakopian is a huge loss for the Armenian art, for our entire cultural and social realm. He was an exceptional artist and impeccable citizen, who exemplified the real Armenian who is coming back home. He came to Armenia as the already mature artist with his own unmistakable style. He came to discover for himself and for us a new, Hakopian Armenia and secured his constant presence in the history of the Armenian art of painting.

I express my deep condolences to the family of the outstanding artist, his friends and thousands of the admirers of his art,” President Sargsyan said in his letter.
