President Serzh Sargsyan participated in the festive events in Artsakh

The President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, who has arrived to the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh on a working visit, today in the capital city of Stepanakert and in Shushi took part in the festive events which commenced early in the morning and are dedicated to the 68th anniversary of Victory as well as the 21st anniversary of the NKR Defense Army and Liberation of Shushi.

The President of Armenia along with the leadership of Artsakh, members of the RA state delegation and guests who have arrived to NKR to participate in the festive events, visited the Memorial in Stepanakert, paid tribute, place a wreath and flowers on the monument immortalizing the memory of the those who fell in the Great Patriotic War and on the tombs of the martyrs of the Artsakh’s liberation war.

In the framework of the celebrations, President Sargsyan visited also Shushi. He laid a wreath and flowers at the pedestal of the Tank-Monument and memorial dedicated to Sparapet Vazgen Sarkissian.

Serzh Sargsyan participated also in the inauguration of the Shushi Museum of Art and in the opening of the office of the non-governmental organization the Union of the Freedom Fighters of Artsakh.
