President Sarzh Sargsyan’s Working Visit to Tavush Marz
Today President Serzh Sargsyan conducted a working visit to Tavush Marz. The President of Armenia visited a group of Marz’s border settlements. Serzh Sargsyan familiarized with the process of projects implemented in Tavush in the spheres of defense, agriculture, health service, culture, education, road-constructing and in a number of other spheres, the tasks requiring immediate solutions, as well as gave instructions to the public officials in charge for those spheres.
The president’s visit started from Berd town where he toured the repaired kinder garden building, familiarized with the works implemented at the expense of the 2013 RA budget resources allocated for the purpose of repairing the given pre-school institution, as well as with the conditions offered for normal functioning of the kinder garden.
Subsequently, Serzh Sargsyan visited the construction site of Berd’s St Gevorg’s Church where he held a meeting with the residents of the community. The construction of St Gevorg’s Church started already in April of 2012 and is to finish at the end of the current half year.
In that border town community the President of Armenia also familiarized with the process of the construction and modernization works of the new subsidiary building of Berd’s medical center. According to the RA Government decree, all the medical services, including the inflectional and laboratory diagnostic ones of Berd’s Medical Center CJSC will be provided at the two subsidiary buildings of the Center. The president was informed that at present, the works of the roof cover, the window and door installments of the polyclinic and main buildings are finished while the internal repairing, as well as the engineering infrastructure and communication deployment are in the implementation process. The concreting of the last floor’s cover and the construction of a new boiler-house are close to their ends.
In the border community of Paravakar President Serzh Sargsyan firstly familiarized with the construction work process of the 3.2km-long auto road from Paravakar to Vazashen. The president was reported that as of 1th of April of 2014 the construction works of the land surface, a drainage system and a defensive breast-wall across 2.9km-long road part had been implemented. Beginning from the middle of April limited traffic on the unfinished road will be possible in case of need. The construction works of the road is to finish on 30th of June of 2014.
Afterward, the President of Armenia visited Paravakar’s battalion and after touring it left for Melkumsar’s border fortification to get in touch with contract servicemen serving at the battle positions.
Serzh Sargsyan also visited Paravakar’s reconstructed Community Center. On the square of the community’s cultural center the president laid flowers at the khachkar dedicated to the fallen freedom fighters. Then, in the presence of Paravakar’s, Varagavan’s and Verin Tsaghkavan’s residents, the family members of the freedom fighters and a group of freedom fighters were handed ministerial awards by the RA Acting Minister Seyran Ohanyan.
At the framework of the working visit to Tavush the president also arrived at Nerkin Karmiraghbyur community. At first, Serzh Sargsyan laid flowers at the tomb dedicated to the Unknown Soldiers and the soldiers killed in the 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War. At Nerkin Karmiraaghbyur border community the president attended the opening ceremony of the newly-built Community Center. The Center has been built in place of the previous two-floor administrative building which was bombed and completely burned in 1992. The construction works of the building started on the 20th of November 2012 and finished at the end of 2013. The total amount of the project comprises 124.8 million drams.
In Tavush community Serzh Sargsyan held a short meeting with viticulturists. In the presence of relevant public officials and the leader of the community the president discussed the issues of irrigation system and the implementation process of regional agricultural projects.
In another border community Navur the president familiarized with the construction versions of the Berd-Itsakar-Gandzakar-Ijan auto road.
