Today, President Serzh Sargsyan received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Vuk Jeremic. Minister Jeremic has arrived to Armenia to participate at the Future of Democracy forum organized by the Council of Europe.
Serzh Sargsyan noted that Armenia attaches importance to the development of bilateral relations with Serbia. The President of Armenia expressed hope that mutual efforts would allow in the future to create necessary legal field, strengthen cultural ties and assist entrepreneurs in establishing active contacts and finding opportunities for cooperation. According to the President, all this will also enhance the political dialogue.
“During the last year visit of the President of Serbia Mr. Boris Tadic to Armenia, we had a good opportunity to discuss our bilateral relations. I am pleased that now too we concur that it wouldn’t be right to refer exclusively to our historical friendship. It is necessary to advance the Armenian-Serbian relations based on the foundation of friendship,” the President of Armenia said.
