President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received the delegation headed by the Speaker of the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic (Jogorku Kenesh Toraga), Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu.
The President of the Republic welcomed the visit of the Kyrgyz delegation to Armenia, emphasizing that it will serve as a new impetus for the further strengthening of bilateral relations and the advancement of political dialogue.
The President highlighted that the visit of the delegation led by Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu is of particular importance in the context that it is the first such high-level representative visit since 2002, which was preceded by mutual visits of the Foreign Ministers of the two countries. In this regard, the President of the Republic expressed hope that alongside effective cooperation on various international platforms, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan will also take proactive steps to enhance high-level reciprocal visits and interactions.
Expressing gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu noted that he is confident the visit of the delegation he leads will serve as a new impetus for the continued development of multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the sides emphasized the importance of developing friendly relations between the two countries, highlighting the role of interparliamentary cooperation.
They also discussed prospects for cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats, as well as regional and international agenda issues.
During the meeting, the sides explored the opportunities of deepening cooperation between the two countries in the fields of politics, economy, culture, high technologies, and other areas. The necessity of fully realizing the potential of bilateral cooperation based on mutual trust, mutually beneficial partnership, and joint initiatives was emphasized.
Special attention was paid to the development of parliamentary diplomacy as an important platform for strengthening bilateral relations. The sides stressed the need for the exchange of experience between legislative bodies, ongoing dialogue, and the organization of reciprocal visits.
Both sides emphasized the role of constructive dialogue, adherence to the principles of international law, and the application of peaceful settlement mechanisms as key conditions for achieving stability and lasting peace throughout the region.
